Building Maintenance Technician
**General Description**
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities to Include:
* Evaluate, repair and maintain all real property on site, to include windows, doors, floors and roofs.
* Must be familiar with commercial locks and lock sets, LCN door closures, raised metal flooring systems and general commercial construction methods.
* Receive, respond, and complete work orders of maintenance issues utilizing computerized maintenance management systems.
* Read work orders or receive instructions from supervisors in order to determine work requirements, materials and tools need to complete the work.
* Communicate with Facilities Services Management about any work that requires outside expert assistance.
* Maintain all safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations and SOP's. Secondary Job Duties and Responsibilities to Include:
* Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required during and after hours
* Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
* Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
* Must be able to work independently with little supervision
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* Equipment Selection - Evaluate project and select the proper tools and equipment needed to safely complete the work.
* Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
* Building and Construction - Knowledge of Building Codes, materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
* Computer Skills - Basic knowledge of computers and e-mail systems, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
